Situated 16km from Lushoto Town in the western Usambara mountains, Sakura Farmhouse is surrounded by pristine natural forests, planned forests, woodlands, shrubs, vegetable and flower gardens as well as orchards and beehives. This early 1950s house displays the traditional African architecture while also bringing in new features post-renovation.On the Ground Floor there is a Sitting room, Lounge, TV room,
Kitchen room, Store, Master bedroom fitted with western type W.C as well as a common toilet fitted with western type W.C.
On the Upper Floor there are 5 ordinary bedrooms, Sitting room, 2 toilets & bathroom each fitted with
Western type W.C and a telephone shower. Access to the upper floor is via an integrated timber stair case.
The property also consists of a newly constructed one storeyed Outhouse which is a Triangle shaped structure.
The roof is Double-pitched and covered with corrugated iron sheets laid on treated timber rafters and
purlins. There are two bedrooms one each floor. Wood is the main construction material used. There is also a servant quarter and animal pen complete with three cows!
